Thanks for your interest in joining Blue Note for a volunteer day in New Orleans at Habitat for Humanity's Musicians' Village.
We're really looking forward to it and to meeting some Blue Note fans this way.
The volunteer day will run on Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. You can find a general explanation about what to expect at Habitat for Humanity sites by clicking here. A FAQ is also available here. Please read these before signing up with us so you can be prepared on the day of.
A few things to note: • Age Limit: We cannot accept volunteers under the age of 18.• Point of Contact: Once you sign up, we'll act as the central point of contact with Habitat for Humanity for the volunteer group. We'll provide you with updates as we draw nearer to the volunteer day. • Transportation and Housing: You will need to make all your own transportation and housing arrangements - including getting to the volunteer day meeting point on April 23. We'll provide you with instructions how to get there.• Liability waivers: Both Blue Note and Habitat for Humanity will ask you to sign a liability waiver. We'll send Blue Note's to you after you sign up. Habitat for Humanity will ask you to sign one on the volunteer day.• Committing: Signing up now does not oblige you to show up. But we will ask you to confirm via email two weeks beforehand on April 9. Once you confirm, we ask that you take this commitment to Habitat for Humanity and the Musicians' Village seriously. We know Jazz Fest is fun, and that when the day dawns you might think beignets and coffee would be a better way to spend your morning. But we'll all be counting on you, and we'll be bringing some donuts to the meeting up point.• Your Personal Information: We won't use any of the information you provide to us in signing up for anything other than managing this volunteer day. • For more information about the Musicians Village click here.
